Nature photography from a woman in the woods

Early Morning Songs . . .

Spring must have officially arrived because the Phoebe (flycatchers) were singing this morning.  There are many in my yard every year.  The fact that they eat a lot of bugs is a great benefit.  There are a pair that have a nest off the corner of the house right next to my bedroom window every year. They become my wake up alarm clock in the summer.  I am amazed at their ability to hover and switch directions quickly to catch those bugs.  The way they sit on tree limbs wagging their tails for balance as they sing is very cute, also.

    • His colors are subtle and plain, but he still stands out as pretty special. You would love his singing.
