Nature photography from a woman in the woods

Weekly Photo Challenge: Two Subjects

Does this count for two subjects? These two Tundra Swans were mirror images of each other and moving as one. Even when they walked, they stepped forward with the same foot at the same time … mud and all. About 2 dozen Tundra Swans have been camped out for the past 3 weeks on a freshly tilled and seeded field on a small farm on my way to work. I have never seen them there before wondering how long they will stay before they fly north.

    • Afterwards, I really wished I would have taken a short video of it … they were moving like shadows of each other.

  2. They’re beautiful, even in the mud. 🙂

    • Beautiful and big …. as of yesterday morning, they were still plodding along in the muddy, wet field. But, when I came home last night … all 50+ were gone … I wonder if they have moved north to the tundra? It was very unusual for them to be here and especially for that long … guessing the extremely strange weather has them confused a bit.
