Photo Challenge: Close

This week’s challenge offers an opportunity for variety, because there are many ways to interpret the word “close”.
Here are a few different ones I came up with …

First, daisies growing “close” together and whose looks are so “close” that are almost identical twins.

Second, a “close encounter” with a birdseed stealing squirrel.

  1. lol! Love the close encounter. Squirrels have been amusing me lately. And daisies are my favorite flower, much to my husband’s annoyance. They were blooming all along the paths we took on our last hiking day in Maine, and I kept stopping to take photos. He’s grouch, “We have daisies at home!” Poor fella. I do tend to slow down his hikes. It’s his own fault, though, as I’ve told him numerous times to go on ahead and I’ll catch up. I think of it as interval training. I stop, take a photo, and then run to catch up. All of which leads to what I meant to comment on in the first place: I really love the daisy image. It’s beautiful. 🙂

    • When my camera is with me on a walk, it is slow and hard for anyone else to walk with me. I think I need to find someone else that also has a camera to walk with me.
The squirrels and chipmunks have been entertaining Ike all week … he gets great joy out of chasing them up trees. He has never caught one, but I think he purposefully let’s them get away .. there were some close encounters where I saw no way out for the squirrel. I think he sees them as playmates. 😉

    • He loves to guard the feeder and chase the squirrels away … he can be very sneaky and sometimes it will take him up to 5 minutes to slowly creep up to the feeder. He entertains me (and saves me $ by protecting the seeds. Thanks for stopping by to comment.

    • Daisies are common and simple … until you get close and really look. But, that is true of most of our natural world. Thanks for stopping by to comment.
