Nature photography from a woman in the woods

Down Low . . .

The rain this week has awakened a few small and delicate wild flowers.  You need to get down low and zoom in to see the hepaticas, wood anemone and blueberry blooms.  Hepaticas and anemone are about the size of the my finger tip.  Not sure what the twin flower is, but I find them every year along my driveway.  I can not wait for the sun to come out tomorrow so that all the new colors of the woods will pop out.  It has become a jungle of green out there in just a few days.

  1. Beautiful shots! Isn’t it wonderful when color starts to return to the land!

    • Thanks … the color appeared so quickly, it was shocking to the eye. Even more shocking to the senses was the return of life to the woods. It went from complete silence to very loud “life” … 24 hours a day.
